Since I first met Hoan when we were students at Pepperdine, I have been impressed by the single-minded vision he has of helping and inspiring young people. He has a great self-awareness of what it means to grow up in an immigrant family, facing messages from two very different cultures about what success means, and not letting either culture get in the way of his calling.
